Today marks my 6 year anniversary of tattooing and you wanna know what Ive learned?

1. Slow down. Seriously. It goes by so fast. Enjoy every second of it. The friends, the badass clients, the laughs, mistakes and achievements! Savor it!

2. Get uncomfortable! Set goals. Chase them dont let what others think stop you. They will laugh but you will outgrow them. Be ambitious.

3. Take chances. Whats the worst thing that could happen? You mess uo? You start over? Get laughed at? Youll grow and do better. Confort breeds complacency.

4. Perspective. Shut up and stop complaining. You have the coolest job there is working beside the most talented people there while literally pursuing one of the most lucrative artistic perfections there is! Your day canceled on you? Go enjoy some sun! Bad client? Who cares you have bad days too but your not flipping burgers or typing word docs. You wanna be happy? Then be happy.

5. Who you choose to surround yourself with matters. No room for negativity or drama. We only have space for those who care and support and help push your craft. Leave your ego at the door, take criticism to the chin and focus on being not just a better tattooer but a better person. The right people will help. The wrong will poison your progress.

And if you managed to read all the way down let me just say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know I say it a lot but seriously I couldnt do this without all the amazing support. I am so incredibly humbled by the love I receive every day and am constantly in awe of how lucky I am to be where I am today. I never thought id make it this far but now im motivated and I look forward to more growth.
